It is narrated that when Rasulullah SA left Madina for one of the battles before Shehrullah, his Ashaab asked him, “we used to fast with you and do iftaar with you, how will we know when to start in your absence?” Rasulullah answered “do roza by seeing him and do iftaar by seeing him.” Click here to read further. Mazoon-ud-Dawat Syedi Abdeali Bhaisaheb Saifuddin AAB was a student of journalism at that time in the American University in Cairo and he wrote a letter to the editor of the paper saying that, "Ramadaan is not a month of self-denial but rather a month of self-discipline." Click here to read further. In a newspaper article some years ago, a journalist prefaced his article on Ramadaan by stating that it is a month of self-denial. That part is Allah’s right ( khuda no haqq che).
